都是照他自己所預定的美意，叫我們知道他旨意的奧祕，
 要照所安排的，在日期滿足的時候，使天上、地上一切所有的，都在基督裡面同歸於一。 
我們也在他裡面得了基業，這原是那位隨己意行做萬事的，照著他旨意所預定的，
叫他的榮耀從我們這首先在基督裡有盼望的人，可以得著稱讚。
    B.3  聖靈- 以弗所書 1:13-14
你們既聽見真理的道，就是那叫你們得救的福音，也信了基督，既然信他，就受了所應許的聖靈為記。這聖靈是我們得基業的憑據，直等到神之民被贖，使他的榮耀得著稱讚。

Timely Help 及時的幫助

As a Christian, our ability to help is indeed very limited. Yet, we can certainly do whatever we can. One phenomenon about a fast pace society is that every one is very busy. Sometimes, the situation is that we rely upon people who we do not know to help just because they are there to help. 
作為基督徒，我們個人提供幫助的能力確實非常有限。 然而，在許多小事上我們，當然可以提供幫助。 快節奏社會的一種現像是每個人都很忙。 有時，情況是我們需要求助於我們不認識的人，只是因為他們在那裡可以提供幫助。

Let me just give a  few simple examples. Let us say that you are away from home yet your vegetable pots need some watering. It is a small task to watering these pots if you are there. But since you are not there, you need someone to water for you. Another example: in case of car broke down on a busy road, we need someone to help us push the car to the side of the road.

On the other hand, we could be that someone to help those in needs just because we are there to help. Thus, if we open our eyes to sense our neighborhood, we can sense the needs. It is therefore very important that we be that  good neighbor who are there to help.

The following Bible Verses are good reminders.
* 1 Timothy 6:18-19, 18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, 19 storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
* 2 Timothy  3:16-17, 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

What  is the purpose of our call?
In our daily busy activities, even after many hours of the Bible studies, sometimes we forget the basic objective of what we are as a Christian. Within this subject, do we forget what the purpose of our call by God. The Bible clearly teaches us that we were called by God to go after holiness in all our behaviors.
1 Peter 1:15 
15 but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior;

上帝呼召我們的目的是什麼？
在日常的繁忙活動中，即使經過許多小時的查經學習，有時我們會忘記作為基督徒的基本目標。 在這個主題內，我們是否忘記了上帝呼召我們的目的是什麼。 聖經清楚地告訴我們，上帝呼召我們在所有行為上要追求聖潔。

To help us understand this important daily goal, you may remember that man was created in God’s image as taught in ;
Genesis 1:26 
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Thus, to really understand the purpose of our call, we would need to get some limited comprehension of  (1) What “holiness” means ?, and (2) What God’s image means? Perhaps, these two items will be good subjects for your Bible studies group to do a in-depth studies.
But even with our limited understanding right now, just keep in mind and remind us daily We were called by God to be holy in everything we do will truly help us immensely in our daily walk with our holy God.

Below are a few items may help us:
Seek after holiness should include at least,
    Peter 1:13-14 ,13 Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance,
    Romans 12:1-2, 12 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
 What is holiness? The following two references should help. “The Holiness of God” by RC Sproul and “Holy in Christ” by Andrew Murray. Why so important in seeking holiness? Hebrews 12:14 , 14 Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord.

On Loss of Innocence
One of the detrimental damages to our human nature in the Fall of Adam and Eve has been the loss of their innocence. Once Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, their eyes were opened and hence they began to trust themselves rather than trust God innocently.

As descendants of Adam and Eve, we inherited the original sin. That is,  our human nature was also contaminated.  We are unable to love God with all our mind, our heart, and our strength. Similarly, we do not love our neighbors as ourselves. 

As believers of Jesus Christ, we were born again spiritually and yet still have our old self in this body. This explains why we are self willed, and opinionated. This also explains why we are argumentative and hard to support each other. This also remind us why we are rather to be alone in weakness and failure and why we do not belong to a strong team in fighting the spiritual war in our daily life.

A big lesson for all of the brothers and sisters in the faith including ourselves is to trust God without pretense i.e., innocently.  If we really trust God wholly, then our opinions and our judgements are really not important. Thus, first of all, we shall not trust ourselves because God is in control and not we. Secondly, we shall follow God’s commands. We shall not be  with if and but. Rather, it is good for us to be obedient to the Bible teachings. Thirdly, knowing our own defects, we should be watchful about the conflicts we are having and learn to pray for God’s compassion and mercies to help and protect us. Fourthly, carry our own cross and follow our Lord Jesus Christ. God’s grace is indeed sufficient to keep us in His peace and joys to pursue a holy life. Fifthly, do our part in spreading the gospel to people who need help. And finally, keep our hope of the second return of Christ Jesus our Lord who will resusrect us to restore our innocence.

There is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.(See 1 Coringthians 8:6)

主耶穌榮耀無比的十字架

Obedience to God is much better than offering sacrifices - Hos 6:6
